Meet Rosanna

Rosanna Gamson makes dance-theater through research, movement and conversation with performers and designers. Her new work, Our Fragile Eternity, asks how we treat one another and what responsibility we share for the future.

Those questions take theatrical form through dancing, spoken text, sound and images that can be playful, mysterious or unsettling. For Rosanna, the project is also a chance to grow through new collaborations and bring the work to a wider audience.

Behind that ambition is a practical need: time for artists to experiment, rehearse and discover what the work can become.

Our Fragile Eternity

A new dance-theater work in development

Walter Benjamin’s writings and Paul Klee’s angels meet dance, spoken text, sound and projected imagery. Drawing on Spiritualism and Jewish mysticism, Our Fragile Eternity explores memory, technology and tikkun olam: repairing the world.

Its images can be mischievous—a tiny goldfish grows beyond its bowl—while its questions ask how we care for one another.
